First time Power up Issue

Postby Wulff » Mon Nov 27, 2017 3:23 pm

Hi there.

I just finished assembling the oneTesla TS and on first power up, with the interrupter in fixed mode at lowest power, the coil seems to be running at maximum power. I tried burst mode but same scenario where it just runs at max.

I'm comparing to other youtube video where the coil ramps up so Its most certainly running at maximum.

Can anyone assist in pointing me in the right direction where I can look to see if there is a problem? My kit shipped with missing resistors and a broken zener diode, I replaced those with matching components.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

It sounds like you're having the same problem as I had. For me, fitting a shield to protect the optical receiver from interference solved the issue.

By shield, you mean the foil mat that the tesla coil sit on or there another type of Shield you speak of?
