Could you please explain to the n00bs among us how the heck you use JavaTC? Maybe it's just my computer, but I put in all the right values for everything, hit the calculate button or whatever it is, and everything came up zeros...

Nice work. Did you use pass Through Hole Rivets for the bus caps and driver chip caps?
I cant tell from the pictures.

Hi guys!
Glad my topic worth paying attention.

To ican
first of all you want to install Java
After, when you refresh the page with JavaTC, it will ask for permission to run. Hit "Run". It will work.

To E.TexasTesla
WOW! Never heard of them. Thank you. Gonna find them and put to use :)
I soldered a middle of wire to a one of capacitor's legs and then soldered the outputs directly to the board where the dimensions of the cap didn't hamper the access.

You NEVER "want" to install Java... I have a virtual machine running windows 7 inside my windows 7 with the sole purpose of running Java because Java is a gigantic security hole in your native OS unless you're running Linux, and even then, it's still a major security risk because more people are writing Java exploits...

Java isn't that bad; compared to native code it is more secure since everything runs inside the JVM.

Hey all!
Want to share some of my further progress.

I decided to make another circuit board, 'coz the first one has already suffered too much.

Here's an old board and in green I showed how my bus capacitors are soldered underneath.

Also check my improvised interrupter's chassis!
I think it's great  though I couldn't feet it well inside the box. The blue tape is priceless

Along with the main board I made another interrupter as well. Why not?

And that's my second unfinished board from top and bottom with flux all over the place

Also I want to apologize for what I am doing to the project.
There's a Frankenstein inside of me, I have to vivify my tesla coil by any means.

Circuit board with external rectifier bridge and wires for IGBTs external installation.

that last picture makes me wonder if there is a socket of some sorts that the igbt's could simply plug into on the board. sorry guys im am really new to this "build your own board" world

it would be cool to use a socket for the igbt's tho, i plan on blowing a few.... handfuls haha
