You can change the color by putting some salt on the breakout point :P
You can try using some water to keep it on there

Not sure about orange though

yeah salt changes it orange... not the complete streamer tho, at least not that i have made happen.

i would like to know if there are other things that will change the color but im too afraid of creating an explosion in my basement haha

What if to dip the breakout rod into Brilliant Green or into Iodine or into Bromine (green streamer is expected). This liquids are supposed to be selling in local pharmacy.

Have to experiment :)

yeah i might do something but i dont think the color of the chemical has anything to do with the color of the streamer.

it has something more to do with electrons and election levels that i dont know enough about. kind of like how copper will make fire green.

tho a copper break out point does not make green streamers, also a brass breakout point does not effect color either.

im not sure what the stock breakout rod is made from, possibly brass. i tried a piece of brass wire and copper wire and they made no difference....

i briefly looked at the bottle of bleach but decided against it. im not a chemist, and i dont want to blow myself up haha

I have been playing with LEDs near the rf field of a running coil.
I think it would be cool if you could buy broken or defective LED chips from the manufacturer.
Maybe glue then to the toroid or plexiglass.
