Hello,

please take a look at the attached image and tell me, how I'm supposed to attach this to the chassis? There is no nut or anything.

Any ideas?

Nevermind. I asked oneTesla about that and apparently they delivered the wrong switches. For now I glued them.

I had the same problem. There is a couple of solutions, all resulting in some trouble to remove the switch after (if ever needed).

The first solution is glue, fast but harder to disassemble after.

The second solution is to put the switch in the hole, then wrap a couple layers of transparent tape around the exterior side so the resulting thickness will be larger than the hole. I've did this. Takes some patience, but will be relatively easy to remove with a cutter (if ever needed).

I had to pre-cut a thin ribbon of transparent tape on a standard roll.

I think these switches are designed to be soldered directly on a PCB.

Not finding a way to hold them in place could result in shorting the components inside...

somehow you've gotten the wrong switch.
my guess is that they didn't realize that these switches are non meant to be mounted on a panel.

They will send me the right ones, I asked them.

But hey, the rest of the kit works just fine and I didn't even have to troubleshoot anything. Worked like a charm right from the beginning so I will not point fingers here

I'm a little confused by the theory that someone who conceives Tesla Coils and sells them can't realize that the switches can't be held on a panel

I told them and they'll send me correct switches.

Other than that, I really can't complain about the kit. It worked right from the beginning and she sings so beautifully

i sometimes wonder this kind of thing too, but hey they ARE smarter than me. humans aren't perfect i guess

I also had these switches. Threw them in the spares box, dug up some screw-fit switches, problem solved.

Sorry everyone, we had a batch of the wrong types of toggle switches and it took a little while to realize there was a problem. By then we had shipped a bunch of kits with them. They can be held in place with glue. We can also ship you some threaded switches if you write to us.
