I recorded a video with my Canon SX40 bridge camera and you can clearly hear some sort of microphone clicking. Is this because of electromagnetic noise pickup and how can you avoid this?

it's intereference.

it might be avoided if you put a piece of tape or foam over the microphone.

That didn't work. I currently help myself with an equalizer, cutting everything out below 125 Hz, but that's also no absolute solution.
