Building this coil was a challenge for sure, but it was fun. Things rarely work the first time, but with enough patience they do work eventually!!!

I actually destroyed the bottom pads of the current transfomer on the PCB and somehow ruined the CT. Had to order a new one. Also fried 7414 chip and 5V regulator during scope testing. Had to replace. And of course my flashover/surface tracking issue. Added fresh coat of polyurethane.

Biggest lesson learned during construction, actually do what the manual says and switch the gate drive chips if it doesn't work!!!

Now my hacker space has a Tesla club and we have many fun ideas for this coil. Thank you to the oneTesla team for designing this beautiful power electronics work of art. As a power electronics engineer I appreciate the beauty of this design. I actually learned a lot from reading the manual and the schematics.

Here is a picture of the coil while playing Fur Elise. This is close to maximum power. I'm amazed at the size of the streamers.
