G2M (Guitar To MIDI)

Postby Fiddy » Wed Nov 27, 2013 12:45 am

G'day,

Ive always wanted to play my guitar through a tesla coil and now we have a midi port onboard the interupter, i went hunting on how to plug my guitar into the interupter.

I found this:

The Sonuus G2M, should be good for what we need as long as we play under 2 notes at once right?

Thoughts and opinions welcome, if you have a better or cheaper way let me know.

Fiddy.

Whats the price of that? If the program could take 5 notes of a c chord and make it one note it may be nice to have.

Just got my Sonuus G2M and a male to male midi cable, seems to be working good in sending midi to the interrupter and out of the interter Fiber optic!

Any update to how this thing worked? I'm thinking about getting one.

Alternatively, anyone know if there is a free software solution? One that allows you to simply feed the guitar audio directly into the laptop, and it converts it in real time to midi output?
