I'm running my coil with MIDI out of my Nvidia Shield (Android 4.4).
It has a micro USB connector and I use a male micro USB to female type A USB adapter connected to a USB-MIDI interface connected to the Tesla interrupter.
So far the only working Android app I found is : Grand Piano Pro.
It works fine but I can't make file list, enable/disable or change MIDI channels, edit the MIDI file...
It basically only plays them (and yes it plays piano).
Does anyone had sucessfull trial with any other Android MIDI App ?
Thanks

Re: Android MIDI file player
FL Mobile Studio doesn't support USB MIDI Out, only internal MIDISynth.
MIDI Melody claimed to have USB MIDI Out support but it crash as soon as I plug the USB cable in !
Still searching...
