Take a look at these two videos: this one, just recorded from about 5m distance has red sparks, while this one recorded from 2m distance has pretty blue sparks.
I need to record with distance because of the inevitable microphone interference. Why are the sparks red?

It really just depends what's in the air at the moment
Have you noticed this consistently? That the sparks look purple ish from far away ?

I don't know. I just noticed it on my new videos which I filmed from more distance.

Or, it might have something to do with the brightness in the room

it depends on what the spark is going through. you can even put on different salts on the breakout point to get different colors.

I don't know... air, I guess? Maybe I farted. But there aren't any salts. Could it have anything to do with the ambient brightness in the room or the filming distance? Should I ventilate beforehand?
