hello world

hello everyone just making my first post and saying hello from Pennsylvania. i have been reading about tesla coils almost non stop for about 5 days now. cant wait to get my onetesla ordered and delivered.

a local "mad scientist" in my small, small town. has a very big spark gap coil and i cant wait to get my solid state coil together and tuned and show him. he isnt not the most internet savvy person but im sure he has heard of them and will be impressed.

Holy crap! That is quite a beefy Tesla coil there. Now that is the type of coil I one day wish to build.

As you hopefully have come across, just keep an eye on the performance of your coil and if things don't seem to be how you expect, be prepared to do some fine tuning.

Yeah it has some seriously thick sparks coming from it... but that's all the longer he can run it before the his fuse blows... he only has a 60amp service in the building it is in
