Happy International Star Wars Day from tinyTesla!
You may have noticed that we redesigned our website! It launched a couple of weeks ago. We're still ironing out all the kinks, so let us know if we missed anything (broken links, etc). We really like the new design and hope you do as well!
oneTeslaTS and tinyTesla are now shipping! We also have a bunch of different options for replacement parts, including sets of parts as well as individual components. And don't forget the SD interrupter!
In other news, we have a couple of new products in the works, but we can't talk about them just yet! Stay tuned!

Between December’s holidays and the upcoming Chinese New Year, as well as Boston’s record snowstorms with a cumulative SIX FEET of snow, the shipping ports have been very backed up! We have straggling parts that were finished in December, shipped as soon as factories reopened after the New Year, and are still on a boat! For the past three weeks, our freight forwarder has reported the status of our stragglers as “almost there.” At long last, all remaining items have cleared customs but have not yet been made available for pickup. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that they’re going to be available early next week. After that, it will just take a few days for packaging before we start shipping Kickstarter reward kits. After that, oneTeslaTS and tinyTesla will be officially available.
We’re very excited to have completely redesigned our user manuals to make them easier to read, and easier for you to print at home. We’re still polishing the edges and retouching the final parts photos, and we’ll be uploading them to our website next week.
We’ll keep you posted!
Happy Valentine's Day!

We're excited to share our beautiful product packaging with you! We presented a number of designs to our Kickstarter backers, and these are the ones they chose. Here is the packaging for oneTesla TS:

World Maker Faire 2014 in NYC was a huge success! We had so much fun demonstrating oneTesla TS for everyone. It was not uncommon for our booth to be surrounded by jaw-dropped onlookers, frantically searching for their cameras/phones in order to record the sparks and music coming from our tesla coil. And apparently the judges were impressed as well, since we brought home THREE Editor's Choice Awards!
You can pre-order your very own oneTesla TS and/or tinyTesla on our website now. They are scheduled to ship in January.
We can't wait for Maker Faire 2015!
The oneTesla team is really looking forward to this year’s Maker Faire in NYC! If you’ve never been to Maker Faire, it is one of the largest conventions of the DIY tech enthusiast community. For two days, makers of all kinds come together to showcase their talents. From the Maker Faire website,
“Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. All of these “makers” come to Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have learned.”
oneTesla will be there demonstrating oneTesla TS, the second generation version of our music-playing Tesla coil kit. It shoots sparks, plays MIDI tracks, and exercises your soldering skills. Check it out in action here.
If you’re looking for a smaller version, tinyTesla is for you! This miniature tesla coil fits in the palm of your hand. It even comes in a pre-soldered version.
Both oneTeslaTS and tinyTesla will be available for pre-order at the Maker Faire booth, or you can pre-order them right now through our website. They are scheduled to ship in January.
We hope to see you at Maker Faire!
Due to overwhelming demand from our backers, we've decided to add a pre-soldered tinyTesla kit option for $199. Many of you are science teachers wanting to use tinyTesla for classroom demos, musicians who want to experiment with the unique properties of sound made with plasma itself, and tinkerers who want to play with electricity. That's why a lot of you have been wanting a tinyTesla kit that's easier to build, something that gets you to beautiful singing sparks with less hassle.
The solderless version of the tinyTesla kit will still require mechanical assembly: winding, gluing, and bolting. And of course, the full kits are still available! Nothing beats the fun and learning of building something with your own hands, and for the fullest educational experience you'll still want the original kit.
Pre-order your solderless tinyTesla now on our Kickstarter page!
